Inviting Guests
KynStay is invite-only by design. Your property is never publicly listed — only the people you choose can see it, request dates, or book a stay. Here's how to get the right people in.
There are two ways to invite people: email invitations for specific individuals, and share links for groups or situations where you don't have an email address handy. Both let you control which properties to share, which pricing tier to assign, and whether access is instant or requires your approval.

Email Invitations
Email invitations are the most direct way to share your property. You enter your guest's email address, choose which properties to share and which pricing tier to assign, and they get a personal invitation in their inbox.
Create the invitation
From your host dashboard, choose "Invite Guest." Enter one email address — or paste up to 50 at once for batch invitations. Select which properties to share and assign a pricing tier. You can add a personal message so they know exactly what to expect.
Guest receives the email
Your guest gets a personalized email with a link to accept. If they already have a KynStay account, they sign in and the property appears in their dashboard immediately. If they're new, they create a free account and access is granted automatically.
Access is granted
Once accepted, your guest can view the property details, check availability, and request bookings. You get a notification when they accept so you know they're in.
Good to know
- • Invitations expire after 7 days, but you can resend them to extend the window.
- • You can revoke a pending invitation before it's accepted.
- • If the guest already has access (from a share link, for example), you'll both be notified — no duplicate access is created.
Share Links
Share links are reusable URLs you can text, post in a group chat, or share however you like. They're ideal when you want to invite a group — say, your running club or a family WhatsApp group — without collecting everyone's email address.
Each link is tied to specific properties and a pricing tier, just like email invitations. But share links also give you two extra controls: approval mode and expiration.
Auto-approve
Anyone who clicks the link gets instant access. No action needed from you. Best for close groups you fully trust.
Approval required
Clicking the link submits a request. You review each person and approve or decline. Best for wider circles or when you want to vet who's coming.
Expiration options
After a link expires, it can no longer be used to request access — but anyone who already claimed it keeps their access.
You can disable a link at any time without deleting it, and re-enable it later. KynStay tracks how many people have used each link, so you always know the reach.
Pricing tiers and guest access
Every invitation and share link assigns a pricing tier to the guest. Tiers control what rate the guest sees when they book. You might set up tiers like:
You can change a guest's tier at any time after they have access — per property or across all your properties at once. Want to learn more about setting rates? See our pricing guide and advanced pricing guide.
Managing access over time
Inviting someone is just the start. From your Guests dashboard, you can manage every aspect of a guest's access:
Reciprocal sharing
If your guest also owns a vacation home on KynStay, you'll see a prompt to "share back" — giving them access to your properties in return. This is the foundation of stay exchanges, where two hosts trade stays instead of paying cash.
Reciprocal sharing is never automatic — you always choose whether to share back and which properties to include. If it's not the right time, you can dismiss the prompt and it won't reappear for 30 days.
